[05-Jan-17] Phytoplankton are tiny, yet important plants and algae that are suspended in our ocean. Powered by the sun's energy, they come in a diversity of shapes and sizes. Phytoplankton produce oxygen, reduce atmospheric carbon dioxide, and serve as the base of the marine food web. Get to know these "Mighty Phytos" by exploring their world through, "Phytopia," an interactive tool developed by the PACE mission.
